The PA12 + CF series is a further extension of the technical possibilities of the PA12 filament, which is additionally reinforced with 5% and 15% carbon fibers. It has a high thermal resistance and a lower shrinkage compared to unmodified PA12 nylon. The use of carbon fiber enables the weight of the component to be reduced while maintaining its high structural rigidity.
PA12 + CF is used successfully in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, in the manufacture of prototypes, drones and end products that require a longer shelf life while reducing weight.
The material has highly abrasive properties. A hardened steel nozzle or ruby nozzle must be used.
